Almost 4 years ago Teena, a collector of both Jack’s and my work, visited and brought us a stick about 8 inches long. She said, “Just put it in some potting soil and give it water. It will grow, these are foolproof.” About 3 months later tiny rabbit ears appeared. We’ve nursed it through several freezes and it loves our front patio in the hot summer.
AND…….Our Plumeria has rewarded us with peach colored blossoms. YIPPEE! Thank you Teena.
We hear the distinctive call of the Bob Whites from early morning until dusk but rarely see them. This evening a pair sauntered across the yard and I was just lucky enough to be in the right place to get a shot of them.

Clicker Bobbie, our resident Great White Egret keeps watch over Senkarik Pond. She likes to roost in the top of the oaks alongside the water, ready to chase away any intruders or go catch a fish for a snack. Thought you’d like a little break from painting. I’m getting ready to begin another commission soon so please come back and watch. Hugs, Mikki Senkarik

How beautiful! I’m always photographing my yard, the birds and the fish in the pond. God’s beauty all around! We are blessed, so blessed.

You gave me a chuckle this morning to read you had given the beautiful egret a name.

Loretta, Before we adopted our kitties Clicker Bobbie would come into the garden looking for lizards. She would click her beak as she poked through the bushes. That’s where the “Clicker” came from. The “Bobbie” is pure Texas. Thanks for following my blog. Hugs, Mikki
