Field of Yellow

Last month this field was a blanket of bluebonnets. Now we have Coreopsis, Daisies and Indian Blanket Flowers. This spring has been like the Enegizer Bunny, it keeps going and going and going. We are loving it!

We can sit in our yellow chairs, surrounded by yellow flowers, relax and enjoy the view.

Sitting out we almost always hear the sharp whistling of Black Bellied Whistling Ducks. They are flying just over the water in the picture above. You may have to enlarge the image to see them, just click on the picture. When coming in for a landing on our pond, they make a circle directly over our house, whistling loudly as they pass. Jack and I are certain it is just to say HI! We’re hoping we have some ducklings again this year. Hugs, Mikki Senkarik
