This was the calm before the storm. In total the show consisted of 25 pieces but some had already been shipped to the collectors and are missing from the display.

Several others had RED SOLD stickers before the event even started. YIPPEE! Please remember, if you’d like to enlarge any of the images just click on the pictures.

We had a lot of collectors come for the “Meet and Greet” on Friday. Tom and Linda Bartlett added Along the River Bend to their collection.

Jan and Ray Dane, long time collectors, commissioned a couple of my new EMBRYO pieces as well as purchasing Peaceful Melody.

Mary Beal Berchem and Angie Johnston brought me an autographed copy of their new book Ped-i-cure. It’s the stories of Mary, Angie and seven other courageous women who share secrets they’ve kept hidden all their lives until now. Their anguish about “airing their dirty laundry” to the world is close to home for me as I’m a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. To find out more about Ped-i-cure just CLICK HERE.

TEAM SENKARIK Members are very important to us. The reason we hold our annual Collector Event is we want to have a fun party to say “Much Obliged”. That’s Texan for Thank You! At the gala on Saturday we had a drawing for some special goodies. Jim Garcia and Donita Wickersheim won a puzzle of my painting Mediterranean Reflections.

John Shecter got an official Team Senkarik Cap!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERATom and Gloria Brown won a Limited Original Giclee of Jack’s Oil Painting HONDO. Unfortunately you can’t see it too well in the picture, the light glared off the plastic bag the piece was in. Hondo Crouch helped to found Luckenbach, Texas. Gloria and Tom had recently visited that quaint little town in the hill country!

Jack and I with Bill and Sarah Hyman who came all the way from New York City. They won a pillow with my horse painting, Coming Through the Canyon.

Santa Fe Seasons, a grouping of four EMBRYOS, was our auction this year. Darrell Hilley, who owns the gallery with his wife Phyllis, is a fine auctioneer.

There was LOTS of laughter and joking as the bidding got fast and furious.

Going, Going, GONE! To the lady in the pink dress, Kristine Shecter!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMitch and Lynne Coppedge added an EMBRYO, Spirit of Santa Fe, to their collection.

Nevin and Wilma Beagle brought their friend, Patti Reagan, who won a bottle of wine with a Senkarik painting on the label.

Linda Bartlett compares notes with Diane and Ron Martinez.

Tony and Sherri McConaghy decided to take Embracing Serenity home with them. Wanted to add a little personalization on the back just for them!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAEd Reif with Phyllis Hilley and Arlene Siebenlist, one of our wonderful gallery sales consultants. Ed’s wife Karen wasn’t able to make it this year, we certainly missed her cheerful laughter. We didn’t get a picture of Tom Crabtree, our other gallery sales consultant, he was our official photographer. Thanks Tom for the great photos!

We want to thank everyone who made our event possible. It was so great to visit with collectors we haven’t seen for awhile and start friendships with new ones. Our Team SENKARIK Members are the best in the world. We feel so very blessed. Out of the 25 show pieces we sold 33! My walls in the gallery are bare and I have lots of commissions to do.  NOW……I’ve got to get to work. Hugs,Mikki and Jack signature JPEG

Its great to see both you, Mikki, and Jack. It has been a few years since I have contacted Jack and I wanted to say his books have been a real inspiration to me. No longer in Southern California, we are now located in Sacramento, CA. Pretty close to the NorCal wine country and to Lake Tahoe.

Take care and please keep painting and writing!

In a years time I’ve got my first major solo exhibition and getting excited but just to let you know that you really have inspired me and I enjoy reading Jack Whites blog I personally regard it as one of the most important reads on the net.

Hi Guys First let me congratulate you on All your hard earned success. I have read the books, and you do as you write. And it works, undeniably. You have a niche and people are willing to buy your work. I only write to you now because, from a lack of ongoing interest on my part, I have repeatedly tried to sign off Of the blog and no matter what, It just keeps coming. And coming. I rarely even look at it these days and want to limit the flood of email I get on a daily basis. With all due respect ( and I certainly have that for you two) I have probably seen enough by now, gotten what i could from the blog, and would simply ask that you find a way to please stop sending it to me. Again, best of luck. Thanks Rob Davenport.
