Late Sunday afternoon I was working at my desk in the studio when I heard a loud “CLUNK” at my front door. An Amazon delivery van was speeding away as I looked out. On my porch was a small box addressed to me, however there was no return address. When I picked it up, was I ever surprised. That tiny package weighed A TON! Overwhelmed with curiosity, I grabbed a knife and quickly cut the sealing tape. Inside, wrapped in tissue, was a heavy, cast iron JACK!
I had no idea who sent this fun reminder of “Our JACK”! I questioned a couple of my friends who didn’t have a clue. So this morning, just as I began to email others, I received one from Jason Abbott. He readily confessed to sending the wonderful surprise! Jack and I met Jason many years ago. Jack mentored him and he has become a very successful artist. We even have some of Jason’s beautiful paintings in our collection.

Here’s Jack and me with Jason and his sweet wife Deborah on Tobago Cays. They joined us on a Caribbean cruise in 2006. I will treasure this “JACK”, heavily laden with delightful memories of Jack, Jason and Deborah. Thank you again Jason! With Love and Hugs,

What a wonderful story. I love it. I lost my wonderful Ric 14 yrs yesterday. My daughter and I talked forever yesterday. We will never forget. It seems like it was yesterday. Stay safe, and I LOVE the Jack. ♥️🤗♥️

Thank you Deanna, I’ve said a little prayer for you. I know it’s difficult and emotional, even after several years. My heart goes out to you. But we’ll see those guys again one day.
